Big Bad Voodoo Daddy hosts a “Wild & Swingin’ Holiday Party” for North Central’s Pfeiffer Hall
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy delighted fans at the appropriately historic Troy Savings Bank Music Hall on Thursday, December 12th with their 1930s sounding holiday concert filled with blazing brass, sizzling sax, and cool cat attitudes as they sang favorite Christmas music.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy swung by the Cabot last week for their Wild and Swingin’ Holiday Party. Billed as “the most widespread Holiday Tour they’ve ever done,” the show features gobs of swinging holiday music.
But it took a seasonal program like this to underscore an attribute that has long defined the West Coast ensemble as much as its command of swing and jump blues styles, jazz-friendly instrumentation and inventive arrangements.
