Kim Gordon (born 28 April 1953 in Rochester, NY, United States) is chiefly known as the former bass player and singer (along with Lee Ranaldo and her then partner Thurston Moore) of the alternative rock band Sonic Youth (1981-2011). The demise of Sonic Youth coincided with the dissolution of her marriage to Moore.

Kim Gordon has clearly closed the door on Sonic Youth and is now creating music that is even more audacious than her former band.
The sold-out crowd had come from all across Australia to see this one-off appearance with her band at The Odeon Theatre, and they would not have been disappointed, as she had assembled a fine group of musicians to accompany her on this journey.
