James Arthur has a number of incredible songs in his repertoire, a voice that won't quit, and a band that rivals some of the world's biggest artists. So why, then, was he so frustrated?
On Tuesday night the Motorpoint Arena was packed with a crowd made up of all ages that have followed James Arthur along his twelve year journey from winning the ninth series of the X Factor, to selling out arenas up and down the country.
James seems to have done what few former singing competition winners have managed and that is to last the test of time and more importantly remain credible. Based on tonight's performance I can understand why as he has an incredible voice, great songs and a huge mixed-age fan base.
With accusations of homophobia and racism as well as his mental health issues, it was not surprising that Simon Cowell's record label Syco dropped James Arthur. But his epic 2017 comeback continues to roll on and now in the midst of a sold out UK tour which included a visit to the Royal Concert Hall last night
