Lettuce + GZA Finish Thier Collaboration Tour at Brooklyn Steel
The Wu-Tang Clan legend GZA kicked off the first of his four-show stand at The Blue Note on a below-freezing Tuesday night (March 29th) in the Village. The packed house was treated to a run-through of his well-known jams and new verses as The Genius deftly flowed around the historic venue.
GZA performs Liquid Swords, but as one of the more introspective members of Wu-Tang Clan, his apparent indifference to performing gives the whole show a disappointingly flat atmosphere
While his lyrical prowess earned him his Genius moniker, the GZA is also terrible at time-management keeping the throng of fans at Brisbane’s Woolly Mammoth (16 November) waiting for an hour.
Last here with (most) of his fellow members of Wu-Tang Clan in 2016 for what was sadly to be the last ever Ragamuffin festival, the crowd at The Studio last night were more than ready to welcome back GZA to New Zealand soil.
