It came at least somewhat full circle when a Stroke, Nick Valensi, brought his own band, CRX, to Mercury Lounge to debut new material..
While The Strokes are still headlining festivals, including Ohana Fest on the 27th, guitarist Nick Valensi’s band CRX held its own show at The Echo with Collapsing Scenery and Queen Kwong.
This show came after the release of their debut album New Skin, which was released in October via Columbia Records, and produced by Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age. CRX sounded much more confident and tighter this time around, with many more shows under their belt.
