On Sunday night, Melbourne's Hamer Hall was packed to capacity with gig lovers of all ages for the fifth and final show of Gillian Welch and David Rawlings' 2025 tour of Australia.
There are many adjectives I could use to describe Gillian Welch and David Rawlings' performance Friday night at the Tower Theatre. Magical, transcendent, exhilarating, captivating or stunning.
Even mid-week it is not hard to find a night to sit in front of an artist or artists and wile away the hours in the company of good songs and enthusiastic fellow audience members.
The quintet took the stage at the ornate and historic Paramount Theater to a near capacity crowd of fans both new and old, all of whom were there for the purpose of getting folked up on a heady dose of Americana.
