Dawn Landes Live In Concert In Norway

In her fourth show touring with Nick Lowe’s Quality Rock & Roll Revue, Americana singer-songwriter Dawn Landes put on a stunning opening set. The Nashville resident played tracks from her last two albums, as well as a forthcoming EP and a musical she’s creating.

It is now getting on for four long years since Dawn Landes last appeared in York. On that occasion, she was at Fibbers and I somehow doubt there was any more than 20 people there that cold January night.

Having witnessed the magic of Dawn Landes’ Lost in Translation style cover of Roxy Music’s More Than This, the Liverpool leg of her UK tour was a definite must-see in our diaries.

Cited by many observers as the 34 year old singer-songwriter’s “divorce album”, it reflects upon the denouement of her union with fellow American musician Josh Ritter.
