Jamie Cullum should host this superb, swinging Christmas party every year
After the interval, Cullum returned to a piano at centre stage and reeled off a relatively clever medley of pop songs, including Rihanna’s Don’t Stop the Music and Radiohead’s High and Dry, followed by some familiar jazz standards.
Anticipating a rare visit by Jamie Cullum to Ronnie Scott’s this week, I joked that the shortage of headroom could curb the star’s enthusiasm for jumping on top of the piano.
Fizzing with energy this diminutive and slightly dishevelled purveyor of jazz-pop crossover is truly buzzing at this Halloween night gig in Cardiff with plenty of treats as well as tricks up his unbuttoned sleeves.
