Hailing from Oakland California (the bay area) Del has inspired a very large following world-wide and is considered by many to be one of the greatest overlooked rappers of all time - I’m one of this many.
The rapper is a chronically laid-back sort but on this particular night he seemed buoyed by the gridiron success of his hometown NFL team the Oakland Raiders who'd clinched a Super Bowl berth mere hours before the concert.
Most commonly known for his mainstream work with the Gorillaz, old school hip hop heads know Del tha Funkee Homosapien (aka Sir Dzl) for his signature work with Oakland clique Hieroglyphics, as well as Deltron 3030.
