With the media full of reports and tribute shows to mark the 30th anniversary of the death of revered Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, it seems a great time to once again breathe new life into his incredible cannon of material, but with a notable twist - performed by an Elvis-fronted singer in a skeleton-embossed jumpsuit

Elvana, an Elvis-fronted Nirvana tribute band, brought the house down at The Leadmill in Sheffield on Saturday, the sold-out venue was buzzing with anticipation, and Elvana did not disappoint.

Being a lifelong Elvis fan, I was intrigued by how this would work. All I can say is…YES, it works!

It's been a long sixteen months, hasn't it? Sixteen months that have upended the world as we knew it, imposing new restrictions on the way people go about their lives from the more mundane like face masks when shopping, to shutting down live music in its entirety.

For those not aware, Elvana are a Nirvana tribute band, fronted by Elvis, hence Elvana. Tonight, they brought their love to Birminghamshire, and there was a lot of love for them.

We are treated to a; -themed introduction explaining how the band came to be, before the band bound onstage to; . It’s amazing – for all intents and purposes, we are watching Elvis sing with Nirvana.
