It was very cool seeing Fishbone on stage again at the Ritz Raleigh last month opening for Parliament Funkadelic.
However his setlist was meandering as the lyricism and stage props (including someone in a dirty matted mouse costume from his short horror film Puzzleface) fell a bit flat.
Mixing styles including ska reggae heavy-metal jazz funk and punk-rock the Los Angeles band has been a necessary treasure to the world of modern music.
The seven member strong Fishbone wove their way through a night of hits and misses in front of a rambunctious crowd at the intimate Le Poisson Rogue down in the village.
