Virginia "Gin" Wigmore is a New Zealand singer/songwriter who was born in Auckland, New Zealand, where she spent most of her childhood. However, while in Argentina at age 16 her father died of cancer.

With a distinctive voice often compared with the likes of Wanda Jackson and Amy Winehouse but with songs fashioned with rock guitars instead, it was truly a treat to catch her live.
Singer-songwriter Gin Wigmore is a multi-platinum artist in Australia and New Zealand and it’s hard to watch her perform small clubs in the US and wonder why she isn’t a huge artist here as well.
