Having spent nearly two years on the road touring in support of 88 Keys and Counting, The end of 2008 saw Grieves enlisting the help of friend and collaborator Budo to co-produce Together/Apart bringing his signature swiss-army knife, multi-instrumental backdrop to Grieves' hauntingly poignant narrative.
Throughout, Grieves' banter was on point. He ripped on a guy who was texting his girlfriend, noted it was already snowing in Calgary (about which he said, "Fuck that shit"), and remembered about how the last time they were at Fortune there was a Jabba the Hutt with a massive joint at the bar. Seven years later although he has struggled to crack the bustling mainstream he has found fandom and approving recognition in his latest album offering Winter & the Wolves.

This suburban triple-header brought out a crowd of 150 or so to the Cambridge Room at House of Blues, and the almost exclusively white 20-something crowd was treated to a brand of hip-hop designed to
