Ha Ha Tonka is an American band, originally formed in West Plains, Missouri (and formerly known as Amsterband). With a "Bible in one hand, broken bottle in the other" (Spin June '09) Ha Ha Tonka return with their sophomore effort on Bloodshot Records, Novel Sounds of the Nouveau South.

Ha Ha Tonka completed three holiday shows, with the Outland Ballroom in Springfield, Missouri being their last after stops in Kansas City and St. Louis.
Their headlining set at Smith’s Olde Bar last friday served as an intoxicating lesson in Southern rock and gospel folk music for a rowdy group of Georgians.
