He was the opening act for Carly Rae Jepsen and Hedley on Friday at the Air Canada Centre, a Nation presentation, and I was impressed not only with his vocal abilities but his stamina on stage.
Over the years, the band has gone from playing venues like the Kool Haus and opening for bands such as Simple Plan; to headlining and selling out the Air Canada Centre.
Today’s review starts with an important lesson: always check the venue for the concert you’re going to – or you may end up at the wrong venue during Kardinal Offishal’s set.
I know that this is a very strong statement to make, but Hedley was the best concert I have been to ever. They know how to put on a show, and their antics and spectacles make a Justin Bieber concert seem boring in comparison.
Rogers Arena was a swirling frenzy of a place for fans of Abbotsford’s favourite pop punk princes Hedley, also featuring a hell of an opening act in the form of Mission’s own Carly Rae Jepsen.
