In a nicely circular way, one of the stars of the very first run of Small Hall Sessions, Barry Saunders, has returned to the Bay two and a half years later, for the final run of 2023.
After a brief hiatus in the face of the advance of the ominous Omicron, the Small Hall Sessions have burst back in to life with the truly international talent that is Jackie Bristow.
Originally from Gore and now based in the US, Bristow combines the sound of the South Island with that of the American South into a richly-rewarding hybrid based around her wonderful songwriting and emotive singing.
