Jake Shears (born Jason Sellards on October 3, 1977 in Arizona) is the vocalist for the American alternative music group the Scissor Sisters. Sellards attended Occidental College in Los Angeles.
The pace was sustained throughout, never faltering, with Shears clearly having fun on stage. He seems to be in a happy place and it was a pleasure to be invited into his world, even if it was just for one night.
He is wearing a grey top hat, a white tail-jacket with glittered lapel-edging, silver glittery trousers, a tight black sequinned vest top, and a bow tie on his bare neck.
The 39-year-old seemed to be living his career in reverse, too, returning to the unpleasantly packed club venue where his band Scissor Sisters began a golden year with a gig in February 2004.
