Malcolm Middleton (born Malcolm Bruce Middleton on 31 December 1973 and raised in Falkirk, Scotland) is a Scottish singer-songwriter, best known best known for his work with Aidan Moffat in post-folk indie band, Arab Strap, and for his subsequent solo career, writing and producing. In 2012 he released a self-titled album under the name Human Don't Be Angry.

Kicking off with the rather apt Cheer Down tonight's performance – a self-proclaimed Long Dark Night – is a stripped-down acoustic affair the bulk of which consists of requests bawled out with gusto from the loyal gathering.
But tonight with titles such as Loneliness Shines and songs where Malky fantasises about crashing his car just for some company it's a description that can be forgiven.
