Complete with a backdrop of moving images – from a launching rocket to a flurry of ants and winged insects – each rendition of these darker tracks was not a performance, but a theatrical spectacle.
Instead, she is at her best when shes able to let loose with euphoric, dependable pop anthems. On the bouncy Orange Trees, she cathartically belts out the line this is how it feels to be free while most of the crowd lose control of their knees.
