In 2005, a largely unknown Danish band Mew swept the international scene with their fourth album
As they performed flawlessly, videos made personally by the lead singer, Jonas Bjerre, danced across the stage in an impressive kaleidoscope of creatures and lands that seemed to be inspired by dreams and nightmares alike.
Fans this evening got treated to an assortment of great Mew material, with a focus on some of the new songs off the band’s recently-released Visuals album.
Since then guitarist Bo Madsen left – an unexpected turn of events in what has otherwise been a year of the Danish trio returning to the fold in spectacular style.
The Denmark four piece – who recently became a three piece with the departure of founding guitarist Bo Madsen in June, but tour as a five piece – finally arrived for their first ever tour in Australia.
