Nursing a damaged hip, 74-year-old Rutherford led a show that got off to a decidedly slow start but caught fire magnificently later on
With the exception of a six year hiatus, Mike Rutherford's Mike + The Mechanics have been an entertaining entity for forty years and were back at the Royal Concert Hall on Tuesday night to deliver a promise of all their hits plus a drop of Genesis.
STILL on the road and souped up with a new album of re-imagined classics Out Of The Blue, Mike Rutherford's original side venture from his Genesis day job has come full circle with a remarkable show for a devoted Royal Albert Hall audience.
