Paul Dempsey (born 1976 in Melbourne) is the lead singer, guitarist and principal songwriter of Australian rock group Something for Kate. Paul was a founding member of the band, and in August 2009 is to release his first solo album whilst continuing his work with Something for Kate.
One of the most distinctive voices in music, Paul Dempsey has been a constant presence in the Australian music scene since Something For Kate released their debut album 'Elsewhere For 8 Minutes' in 1997.
Due to predation from feral foxes and cats, the mainland subspecies has been classified as extinct – but Zoos Victoria are working to remove them from the extinction list, through complex breeding and re-population programs.
In support of this year’s sophomore effort Strange Loop, he opted for the slightly larger Bush Hall in West London’s Shepherd’s Bush for his sole European appearance.
