Falling outside of the hectic summer season of festivals, Damnation Festival has prided itself on being an outsider next to the heavy hitters, despite the fact year on year the annual event boasts some of the best bands in extreme music.
Anyone familiar with the band knows that catching PxDx in concert is a rare treat, but it had been years since their last trip west–so long in fact, that this mini tour of theirs felt more like a goddamn miracle.
But in all honesty, the bill seemed backwards. Repulsion, the grindcore heroes of yore from Flint, Michigan, who were apparently pissed off about where they were in the ‘80s (Flint ain’t gotten any better since), opened the show.
