RITA Ora claimed that this final UK date of her Phoenix tour was her first foray into an arena-sized venue, but this enthusiastic Anglo-Albanian all-singing, sort-of-dancing entertainer gave the impression that she had been rehearsing for the moment her entire life.

On this very day six years ago, Rita Ora cancelled her Brisbane show at The Tivoli scheduled for the next day due to a throat illness. And for what has been an excruciating wait in-between shows has seen the UK singer-songwriter turn into one of the biggest names in current pop culture.

I can remember sitting in Maths class when I was sixteen and receiving a text from my dad saying Rita Ora's Radioactive concert that night was cancelled due to illness. I was devastated. After six years of waiting, I was not disappointed as she graced the Big Top at Sydney's Luna Park as part of her Phoenix World Tour.
