Critic Consensus
Based on 45 concert reviews, the critic consensus is that Roky Erickson is rated as a neither good nor bad live performer, with shows that lack distinction. Roky Erickson concert reviews describe live shows and performances as psychedelic and retrospective.
Roky Erickson (born Roger Kynard Erickson on July 15, 1947, died May 31, 2019) was an American singer, songwriter, harmonica player and guitarist from Austin, Texas. He was a founding member of the 13th Floor Elevators, who are considered to be one of the first two bands to ever use the word "psychedelic" ( + see The Deep) to describe rock music.

I’m no Texas resident, nor am I involved in the music industry to the degree I’d be at a SXSW event, so the odds were stacked against me ever seeing the legendary Roky Erickson live.
