Enigmatic RYLEY WALKER brings sensitivity & exceptional talent to Cardiff set
This past Thursday night in New York City on March 17th, Walker, self-professed “minor league indie rock star”, rolled through the city's famed Bowery Ballroom for a hometown show full of great songs, an unexpected amount of laughs, and some seriously impressive musicianship.
Walker delivered a hypnotic set to warm things up for the seven-piece band, bringing his heady guitar shredding to the crowd before they started the grooving and shaking that was to come.
Not that many singer-songwriters are quite as contradictory however as 27-year-old Ryley Walker who is just about to release his accomplished third solo album Golden Sings That Have Been Sung.
That didn’t deter the committed and curious fans of Chicago’s Ryley Walker from scurrying beneath umbrellas to the steps of The Famous Spiegeltent for what would be a spellbinding set of acoustic folk music.
