It’s been a while since I was last at this venue and it was to see L7. Oddly enough, one of The Donnas influences, but they weren’t so influenced as to pull their jeans down, or offer a one night stand to a member of the audience!

If their rip-roaring garage-rock were any more basic we would be dealing with sub-atomic particles and clutter has been reduced in the name department by each member calling herself Donna.
After all of that you'd forgive them for being a little disheartened about playing the smallest basement venue of Manchester's Academy but not a bit of it they never stop smiling.
