Since the release of his atmospheric epic Excavation in 2013, Bobby Krlic – aka The Haxan Cloak – has been much in demand around the world.

The Haxan Cloak are headlining one of several nights put on by the great Mary Anne Hobbs as part of Manchester International Festival.

An absence of air conditioning combined with an abnormally hot day in Los Angeles made a sauna out of the tiny room in which the show was to be held, with the result that half of the audience was sweating before anyone had even taken to the stage.
