The Queers are a pop-punk/punk rock band from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, formed in 1982. Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter Joe King has been the principal member of the group, with a vast number of musicians cycling in and out of the band over the years.
Since their humble beginnings in the '80s the band have specialized in fast abrasive and obscene tunes peppered with bubblegum-pop sensibilities that make for some undeniably infectious listening.

The Deal: I have wanted to see the Queers for years but it seems there has always been something that got in the way of my plans and thus, I have never gotten to go. That's why this time I was absolutely determined to make it happ
It would've been nice to have seen more than a few kids out, but the Queers have been through quite a few times in the past couple of years, and maybe after making the trip to KC to see them play the Record Bar a few times, the idea of seeing them in your hometown isn't as interesting.
