Critic Consensus
Based on 15 concert reviews, the critic consensus is that The Slip is rated as a neither good nor bad live performer, with shows that lack distinction.
The Slip is an American avant-rock trio from Boston, Massachusetts. The future of The Slip seems to be on hold as the founding members, Andrew Barr and Brad Barr, have been focusing their work into The Barr Brothers.

Boston based avant rock trio The Slip performed for the second night of a rare two night stand at the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY last Friday night. The show was part of the first formal tour by this band in over ten years.
In 2003 the trio took their sound to not one but two new levels with twin live releases going alt-folk with aliveacoustic and post-rock with alivelectric.
They make their mark the old fashioned way; on stage, through the fearless execution of uncompromising live performances on a weekly basis in ever-widening concentric circles from a popular local night spot.
Both bands, regardless of slot, played to a packed and festive Brooklyn crowd on a night when the entire city was full of tempting celebratory choices.
The three-piece, made up of Brad Barr on guitars and lead vocals, Andrew Barr on drums and percussion and Marc Friedman on bass, have earned a strong dedicated following in the northeast that has been continually growing.
