TV On The Radio Live At The Islington Assembly Hall, London
Ahhh, the summer of 2008. It was a bleak time for popular music. That ‘Electric Feel’ song was hanging around like a fart in a blanket, Kaiser Chiefs were still being taken seriously and Kings Of Leon had begun the long journey up their own arses. All was not well, oh my brothers and sisters.
Brooklyn quartet TV on the Radio held the honours playing as a six piece in the venue - trombone and all - supported by the one and only Kirin J Callinan.
As we passed over a gulf inlet for the second time, the bro to my right stopped chugging his liter of bud light long enough to suggest taking a completely different bus.
