Twin Sister

The band didn't take the stage until close to midnight by which time the crowd that had filled the Media Club had noticeably thinned out meaning that more than a few ticket holders missed out on what was by far the night's strongest performance.

Once upon a time, I came across their track, “Lady Daydream,” and was obsessed with it for approximately one day.

Accompanied by Seattle’s Lemolo Brooklyn bands Twin Sister and Ava Luna played two of the more captivating and strange sets I’ve seen in a while.

With the dream-pop neo-disco reverberations of Twin Sister, the potentiality of what kind of band they would ask to go on tour with them is too oddly diverse to consider.

Three of their finest indie talents, Ava Luna, Eleanor Friedberger, and Twin Sister graced Vancouver’s Media Club this Wednesday, each with a unique style that fired up their young, hip, intelligentsia crowd.

As Twin Sister they released Vampires With Dreaming Kids a four song collection of expansive shoegaze with foggy rhythms and an icy disposition.
