Gov’s Mule’s Warren Haynes gets symphonic but rocks the house anyway in GR performance
An unseasonably cool and drizzly evening greeted Warren Haynes and special guest Zach Nugent at Northlands Live in Swanzey, NH for the third of Haynes' four-date solo ‘tour' on Friday night. The inclement weather, however, didn't dampen the enthusiasm for all three involved.
Led by Haynes (guitar /vocals), WHB included Terrence Higgins (drums), Greg Osby (sax), Matt Slocum (keys) and Kevin Scott (bass) along with backing vocalists Mayteena Morales and Saundra Williams. While you wouldn’t think that there’d be much opportunity for jamming with a full orchestra involved
For more than thirty years, the Warren Haynes Christmas Jam has been an annual benefit for Habitat For Humanity along with Beloved Asheville. Following a three year hiatus, Warren Haynes brought the jam back in a robust way to a sold-out crowd.
