Taking the stage this past Thursday at Caffe Lena was the enigmatic Dom Flemons. One of the most unique performers I've ever had the pleasure of seeing, those in attendance that night were greeted with a virtuosic, quirky, and captivating night of music, through and through.
A show with Grammy Award winner and two-time nominee Dom Flemons was a journey through history and culture as much as a musical experience at Hill Center in DC recently.
As the piano and organ played the old familiar chords, we'd join our eager but errant voices with those of tolerant neighbors for "The Church In The Wildwood" or "Whispering Hope".
