Timothy Elpadaro Thedford, better known by his fans as Jay Electronica, is an American rapper born on September 19, 1976. He originates from from the Magnolia Projects in New Orleans, Louisiana.
It's fair to say that Jay Electronica's album is keeping hip hop fans chatting - largely due to its absence. Incredibly it's been a decade since "Exhibit A" and the stunning "Exhibit C" were released, hot on the heels of his "Eternal Sunshine" project.
The evening began with opening performances from New Orleans rap group MadeGROCERIES and local Toronto artist Sean Leon (who recently made headlines with the opening of his one-of-a-kind museum fan experience inside his basement apartment).
Having first rose to fame within Hip-Hop circles in the mid-late 2000’s, he’s since seen his praise diminish over the years, with an extremely minimal and rare output of music.
