WGNA brought the one-of-a-kind show back to Proctors Theatre on Tuesday night. Just like any other year, the 17th Secret Star Acoustic Jam resulted in a sold-out venue for country music fans, even though the line-up was a tough one to guess.
After singing a few Christmas songs, Joe Nichols sat on a stool with just his acoustic guitar and played a few cover songs. One was a spot-on performance of Hank Williams Jr.'s "Blues Man." The second - at the request of his manager - was the singing of Willie Nelson's "Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground."
As the line of people waiting to get into the Emerald Theatre parades down the sidewalks of downtown Mount Clemens, everyone in attendance for the show knows it is more than just about the music on this evening.
