It was a disappointing but enthusiastic crowd at Rock City on Sunday night who welcomed blues rock band King King and their special guest Glenn Tilbrook.

King King are the absolute epitome of the hard working Blues/Rock outfit and it looks as though they are finally getting just rewards for 10 years of building their reputation around the clubs and dive of Britain & Europe, not to mention support slots with the Likes of Thunder and Europe.

The clearly thrilled singer and guitarist achieves exactly that at the band’s biggest London headline show to date.

I must admit to some concern over Alan Nimmo’s vocals before this gig after the band cancelled many of their shows because he had strained his voice. In the end he was in fine voice and the band were cooking, on absolutely top form. You aren’t really going to get any great revelations from a King King show.
