The Record Company are about halfway through with their Roll With It 2024 tour and they made a long overdue stop at Delmar Hall last night to the massive delight of a huge crowd of very adoring fans.
The multi-instrumental New Orleans band, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, had the crowd swaying, shaking, smiling and dancing from the aptly titled Intro, moving on to Where It At with quite simply jaw-dropping power on the trombone by the titular frontman.
Although The Record Company put on quite a performance, it seems as if each song drags on for far longer than it should. The fans applaud prematurely, only to realise there is a note that has not been played. Everyone should be left wanting more, not having already seen too much.
The intimate Georgia Theatre played host to a brilliant evening of music on a balmy Monday in Athens as Grammy-nominated blues rockers, The Record Company blew the roof off the historic venue. The building itself was destroyed by a fire in 2009 and reopened in 2011.
