In 2025, hip hop music will be celebrating its 52nd anniversary in existence and throughout this long passage of time, the genre has emphatically spread its creative wings and influenced world events and culture globally.
The Roots are known as being one of the greatest live bands. After a ten-year wait, they proved why at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl (Melbourne) on New Year's Day.
By the time the Roots hit the stage as Saturday's 2018 headliners, ponchos were off and hula hoops were swinging and there were even a few stars in the sky above Tampa's Curtis Hixon Park — a far cry from the gray skies that hung around day.
