Their enthusiasm is infectious for a song or two but soon reveals itself as the lock-jaw gurning of a band trying to mask going through the motions with the aid of a quirky sheen.
There was no mention of this on the ticket and I though what if I was an international hit man looking for an anonymous bit of fun I’d probably be well and truly pissed off.
Over two years since they arrived in the UK, carried by a frenzy of hearsay and hype, the Delaware six-piece could have returned to London with a new attitude and mature approach.
