While the vocals could have been turned up a notch, Matt Nev's guitar work is truly impressive and the songs have a warm and dreamy aesthetic that leaves you wanting more.
The indiepop faithful gather drawn by the sound of mid-80s-styled jangling guitars forlorn Belle and Sebastian vocals and songs about weddings funerals and jumping off Beachy Head wrapped in melodies that tug politely at your elbow.
The album is similar in style to their self-titled debut, except the gloomy mood generated by songs such as Found Love In The Graveyard are blown away by the chirpy upbeat tunes of the new record.
To their credit they had propulsive energy in attempting to bring their indie noise-pop compositions to life but a couple things hamstrung any potential musical gains from their collective spirit.
