Nation of Language are a Brooklyn new wave trio led by the now husband and wife duo of singer Ian Devaney and self-proclaimed synth princess Aidan Noell, alongside Michael Sue-Poi, who was at one point their drummer and has now stepped into the role of bass player
Nation of Language recently played two sold-out shows in support of their new album, Strange Disciple. Playing at the new version of Seattle’s storied Crocodile, the band treated fans old and new to a rollicking, joyful show, an exuberant escape from the world around.
For the last month, Nation of Language have been touring together through the States with Ducks Ltd opening for them, but Thursday night's stop at Lee's felt like a co-headlining tour. Lee's packed up a little earlier than usual for fans of the local band's homecoming show, and the band certainly rewarded them.
